North Arm State School Wellbeing Officer Overview

The Student Wellbeing Officer at North Arm State School provides social and emotional support for children who attend the school. Children are able to access the Wellbeing Officer individually or in small groups when required.
The Wellbeing Officer isn’t a counsellor, rather an available, understanding adult who provides non-judgemental and caring support to all students. There is a focus on developing relationships through games, art and fun activities so that students know they have a safe place to visit when they need it.
A range of programs are delivered by the Wellbeing Officer, including Protective Behaviours (P-4) and Sexuality Education (5-6). There is also the option for parents to organise appointments to discuss any concerns they may have about their child’s wellbeing or behaviour.
The Student Wellbeing Officer is at NASS on Tuesday and Thursday each week, and can be contacted on 5472 9845.
Regards, Grace Baker (NASS Wellbeing Officer)
